Rahi Badal Gaye is a romantic musical drama. The movie revolves around a young man named Amar (Rishi Kapoor), who lives in Kashmir and works as a tourist guide. He falls in love with Bhavna (Shabana Azmi), and with the help of her sister Sangeeta (Padmini Kohlapure), he conveys his feelings to Bhavna, learning that she is in love with him too. However, things take a complicated turn, when Amar meets an accident and dies, and Sangeeta loses her mind. Later, Amar’s lookalike, Lieutenant Pavan Kumar (Rishi Kapoor) comes to visit Kashmir. Sangeeta decides to seek his help to make Bhavna recover, and seduces him to agree to help her. Pavan agrees, but he falls in love with Sangeeta. Will Pavan be able to help in treating Bhavna back to her senses? What will happen when she discovers the truth?
