Road to Sangam is a thriller drama. The movie revolves around a God-fearing devoted Muslim man, Hasmat Ullah (Paresh Rawal). Hasmat is a mechanic, who has been tasked to repair an old Ford V8 engine, the vehicle that once carried the ashes of Mahatma Gandhi which was immersed in Triveni Sangam. Due to the Muslim riots, there is a ‘Bandh’ (General Strike) in the city by all Muslims. The situations leave Hasmat in a dilemma, as he is caught between the community and his promise to deliver the repaired engine.
