Salaam Venky is a social drama and an adaptation from the book titled 'The Last Hurrah' written by Shrikant Murthy. The film is a heart-warming story of a mother named Sujata (Kajol) who looks after her terminally ill and confined to a wheelchair son, Venky (Vishal Jethwa). Sujata and Venky navigate through the most challenging situations that anyone can ever face with a smile and teach us the true meaning of living life king size. After it is revealed that Venky has very less time left, he asks his mother to fulfil his last dying wish which she refuses to grant him. What will Sujata do, will she reconcile with Venky's wish?
