Aamir Khan is Bollywood’s most popular actor, director, producer, writer and TV talk time host. With a career spanning over three decades, he started off as a child artist by appearing in his uncle Nasir Hussain’s blockbuster movie Yaadon Ki Baaraat in 1973. As the main lead, his first feature film was Ketan Mehta’s Holi in 1984 after which he was relaunched in Nasir Hussain’s Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak in 1988 which was directed by his cousin Mansoor Khan. The success of QSQT was followed by hit films like Dil (1990), Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar (1992), Andaz Apna Apna (1994), Rangeela (1995), Ghulam (1998), Sarfarosh (1999), Lagaan (2001), Ghajini (2008), 3 Idiots (2009), Dhoom 3 (2013), PK (2014) and Dangal (2016). His father, late Tahir Hussain was a well-known producer and director, while his brother Faisal Khan is an actor, ex-wife Reena Dutta is a producer and present wife Kiran Rao is a producer and director. He is a recipient of many noted films and civilian awards including the Padma Shri in 2003 and Padma Bhushan in 2010.
