Taare Zameen Par is a social family drama. The movie revolves around an eight-year-old dyslexic boy named Ishaan Nandkishore Awasthi (Darsheel Safary). Ishaan is often criticized by his parents and teachers for his poor academic performance. His parents decide to send him to a boarding school that brings him fear, anxiety, and depression. However, his condition improves when a new art teacher, Ram Shankar Nikumbh (Aamir Khan), joins the boarding school, and reviews Ishaan’s work, and concludes that he suffers from dyslexia. Ram helps Ishaan to learn with a different style as he believed that with some efforts Ishaan’s true potential could be uncovered.
