Jawani Zindabad is a romantic comedy drama. The movie revolves around a young man named Shashi Sharma (Aamir Khan), who is a part of the group who have pledged never to take or give dowry, in the protest against dowry. Shashi marries Sugandha (Farha Naaz) without any dowry. Later, he gets his sister Rama (Rohini) married to Ravi (Javed Jaffrey). Ravi’s parents, Govardhan (Utpal Dutt) and Shakuntala (Shobha Khote) are very greedy, who are not very happy when Rama doesn’t bring any dowry, but Ravi didn’t mind it. They plan to get her killed and make Ravi remarry. Will Shashi be able to save his sister and teach her in-laws a lesson?
