Sardar Udham is a biopic drama based on the true events that tell the story of Indian martyr Shaheed Udham Singh who was deeply scarred by the massacre that took place on the fateful day of 13 April 1919, when Michael O’Dwyer the then Lt. Governor of Punjab, ordered his troops to shoot down thousands of unarmed Sikhs at a gathering at Jallainwala Bagh where 1650 rounds were fired in 10 minutes. Carrying an unhealed wound for 21 years, Sardar Udham Singh decides to avenge the Jallianwala Bagh massacre by shooting Michael O’Dwyer in London, in March 1940. The story also takes us through the facts behind how Udham eventually reached London via the sea in 1933-34 to accomplish his mission and gladly sacrificed his life.
