Shaadi Mein Zaroor Aana is a romantic comedy drama. It follows the story of Aarti Shukla (Kriti Kharbanda), an intelligent girl from Kanpur, and Satyendra Mishra (Rajkummar Rao), a clerk in the Excise Department. The two meet for an arranged marriage and end up falling in love with each other. On the day of the wedding, Aarti comes to know that she has cleared the PCS exam and her in-laws won’t let her pursue the career. The lives of Aarti and Satyendra take a turn when Aarti runs away on the day of her wedding to follow her dreams. Years later Satyendra becomes an IAS officer only to encounter Aarti yet again and make her realize her mistake.
