Shagird is an action crime drama that revolves around a corrupt police officer, Senior Inspector Hanumant Singh (Nana Patekar). Sub-Inspector Mohit Kumar (Mohit Ahlawat) joins the crime branch under Hanumant Singh and learns about Hanumant and the terror he has created. Initially, things go well, however, because of the difference in their ideologies, the paths of these two police officers collide. Thus, begins a game of one-up-man-ship where both try to outdo the other and gain prominence within the system.
