Shubh Kaamna is a romantic comedy drama. The movie follows the story of a young man named Ratan (Rakesh Roshan), who is a do-gooder and his personality of being extra nice often gets him in trouble with his bosses and he finds it hard to keep one job. One day, he comes across a beautiful girl named Sujata (Rati Agnihotri) and her family, and realises that she couldn’t get married as her father is unable to afford the dowry. It is then Ratan decides to intervene and arranges her marriage with Mr. Mehra (Vinod Mehra). It still remains a question, whether Ratan got himself into another trouble for other people’s happiness?
