Shubh Mangal Saavdhan is a romantic comedy and the official remake of the director's own successful Tamil film Kalyana Samayal Saadham. The movie follows the story of Mudit Sharma (Ayushmann Khurrana), a Delhi boy who falls in love with Sugandha Joshi (Bhumi Pednekar), a Gurgaon girl, and after a formal marriage proposal between their families, the two get engaged. However, before the wedding, their relationship nearly falls apart when they discover Mudit’s erectile dysfunction. Will the marriage be called off or Mudit will seek the help of an expert?
