Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan is a family comedy drama set in a small town in northern India where Kartik (Ayushmann Khurrana) is in a relationship with his male friend Aman. Kartik finds it difficult to convince his love for Aman as well as his orthodox family. However, Aman responds to Kartik’s advances but hesitates due to family pressure and societal norms. The road to achieving a happy ending for both becomes a little too rough while Aman’s family tries hard to get him married to a girl whereas Kartik isn’t prepared to step back until he marries the former! Will their union end on a happy note or lead to a feud?
