Talvar is a suspense thriller drama. The movie is based on the 2008 Noida double murder case involving a 14-year-old girl named Shruti Tandon and her family’s servant. The case is handed to the Joint Director of CDI, Ashwin Kumar (Irrfan Khan), and ACP Vedant Mishra (Sohum Shah). The case gets complicated when two different theories come forward. Either the parents of the girl, Ramesh (Neeraj Kabi) and Nutan (Konkona Sen Sharma), are murderers or Ramesh’s resentful assistant is the murderer.
