The India Story follows Yogesh Patil (Shreyas Talpade), a grieving father who takes on the system after the tragic death of his six- or seven-year-old daughter, Pari (Trisha Sharda), from cancer. Convinced that her death was not accidental, Yogesh approaches the police in Pune and alleges that she was murdered, but his complaint is dismissed. Several lawyers also refuse to take up his case until Advocate Archana (Kajal Aggarwal Kitchlu) agrees to represent him. At the Bombay High Court, Archana argues that Pari’s illness and eventual death were caused by consuming food products contaminated with pesticides and harmful chemicals. She holds farmers, pesticide manufacturers, and the government responsible and seeks legal action against them. As the case gains nationwide attention, it sparks outrage among farmers, who feel betrayed by being portrayed as perpetrators rather than annadaatas. What follows is a high-stakes battle between an ordinary father and a powerful system.
