Turtle is a social drama tale inspired by the real-life story of Ramkaran Choudhary (Bagod) from Village Dehlod, Rajasthan. The drought-struck village where drinking water is still a luxury and sold by the rich to the poor to exist in day-to-day life is Ramkaran (Sanjay Mishra) who on being denied free water opposes the rich and vows to extract and distribute free water from the sun-baked earth on his own. Joining him in this mission is his family who supports him and convinces the villagers that one day a well be dug and all will have free water to drink. Thus, begins a tug of war between Ramkaran and others desperate to quench the thirst of the villagers.
