Vadh: When Survival Is Punishment is a story set in the city of Gwalior where Shambhunath Mishra (Sanjay Mishra), a retired middle school teacher leads a mundane life with his wife Manju Mishra (Neena Gupta). Shambhunath Mishra takes a loan from a goon named Prajapati Pandey (Saurabh Sachdeva) to send their only son to the USA for further studies. When Shambhunath finds it difficult to return the amount to Prajapati Pandey, the latter makes life hell and tries to sell the formers house to recover his loan but things turn upside down when Shambhunath ends up murdering Prajapati Pandey. Despite having limited time to plan cautiously and turn the whole murder into a perfect one leaving no trace behind he chooses to go to the nearest police station to confess his crime by saying that he didn’t kill Prajapati but instead slaughtered him. But the fact remains as to what led Shambhunath to murder Prajapati Pandey, is the crux of this intriguing thriller story.
