Vedaa is an action-packed thriller set in the small town of Barmer, Rajasthan, that revolves around Vedaa Berwa (Sharvari Wagh), a young college-going lower caste girl who wants to achieve her dreams. The town's Pradhan, Jitender Pratap Singh (Abhishek Banerjee), takes all the decisions for the locals, showing that he cares about everyone, but he and his family are not happy to see the lower caste people coming forward. Major Abhimanyu Kanwar (John Abraham), a soldier of the Gorkha rifles whose rebellious streak and refusal to follow orders blindly lead to him getting court-martialed from service, comes to Barmer to work in Vedaa’s college. Soon, a situation takes place where Vedaa's family gets into trouble, and she runs away. Abhimanyu becomes her protector, and trains Vedaa to give it back to the men who trampled on her rights.
