Born as Kalyan Kumar Ganguly, Anoop Kumar was an Indian actor who appeared in over 75 Bollywood movies in a career span of around four decades. He was a prominent member of the Bollywood Ganguly family and brother of legendary actors Ashok Kumar and Kishore Kumar. He started his career with the 1950 film Khiladi. He is best known for his role in the 1958 comedy film Chalti Ka Naam Gaadi, starring Madhubala and the Ganguly brothers – Ashok Kumar, Anoop Kumar and Kishore Kumar in the main leads. Other movies featuring him include Jeevan Saathi (1957), Junglee (1961), Kashmir Ki Kali (1962), Bahu Beti (1965), Raat Aur Din (1965), Do Anjaane (1976) and many more.
