Omkar Nath Dhar, better known by his stage name Jeevan, was an Indian actor, who was a rare example of actors who got typecast to play one kind of role in Bollywood. The actor played the role of Narad Muni in a total of 49 mythological films. He was born in an aristocratic family, and since childhood, he wanted to be an actor, but no one in his family supported him. He then ran away from his family and came to Bombay to be an actor. He became notable after his role in the 1935 film Romantic India. Other important movies of his career include Station Master (1942), Afsana (1946), Aakhri Daao (1958), Kanoon (1960), Johny Mera Naam (1970), Amar Akbar Anthony (1977), Dharam Veer (1977), Insaaf Ki Manzil (1986), and many more. He has two actor sons, Kiran Kumar and Bhushan Jeevan.
