Kabir Khan is currently one of Bollywood’s most sought-after directors, producers, and writers who is known for his nascent cinematic style. An alumnus of Delhi University's Kirori Mal College, he started off very early by handling the cinematography of the reputed documentary ‘Beyond the Himalayas’ which was directed by Gautam Ghose and released in 1995 which gained popularity after being telecast on the Discovery channel. After working with MTV for some years he made his directorial debut with YRF’s Kabul Express in 2006 which was followed by New York, Ek Tha Tiger, Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Phantom, Tubelight, and 83 which was based on India’s maiden world cup cricket triumph in 1983. He is married to TV host & actress Mini Mathur, with whom he has 2 children, Vivaan and Sairah. His sister Anusheh Khan is married to film-maker Vijay Krishna Acharya, who has made films like Tashan, Dhoom 3 & Thugs of Hindostan.
