Set during the Indo-China battle in 1963, Tubelight is the story of two brothers Laxman (Salman Khan) and Bharat (Sohail Khan), who hails from a small hill station in India. A sudden recruitment drive in the army gets Bharat selected while Laxman does not. Bharat joins the war and suddenly goes missing in action. The whole village believes that he has become a war casualty but Laxman thinks otherwise and awaits his arrival. Will Bharat arrive, will Laxman's belief and hope change the mindset of the locals?
