Mahalakshmi Iyer is an Indian playback singer, best known for singing in Hindi, Assamese and Tamil songs. She made her playback debut with the 1997 film Dus, however, because of the untimely death of the director, the movie never got released. She has worked as the playback singer in movies like Dil Se… (1998), Saathiya (2002), Waqt: The Race Against Time (2005), Bunty Aur Babli (2005), Slumdog Millionaire (2008), Kill Dil (2014) and many more.
