Manoj Kumar is an Indian actor, producer, editor, lyricist, and director, who is remembered for his versatile performances. He is a recipient of several awards and the Government of India honored him with the Padma Shri and the Dadasaheb Phalke Award. He made his screen debut with Lekhraj Bakhri’s Hindi-drama Fashion (1957). It was followed by his successful movies like Hariyali Aur Raasta (1962), Woh Kaun Thi? (1964), Himalay Ki God Mein (1965), Do Badan (1966), Upkar (1967), Patthar Ke Sanam (1967), Neel Kamal (1968), Purab Aur Paschim (1970), Shor (1972), Beimaan (1972), Roti Kapada Aur Makaan (1974), Dus Numbri (1976), and Kranti (1981). He is married to Shashi Goswami and they have two sons, actors Rajiv and Manish Goswami.
