Partho Ghosh was a veteran producer, director and writer in Bengali and Hindi film industry. He started his Bollywood career in 1989 by directing the comedy drama Tere Bina Kya Jina. The following years he made several memorable films in the 1990s including 100 Days (1991), starring Jackie Shroff - Madhuri Dixit, Geet (1992), Dalaal (1993), Agni Sakshi (1996), Ghulam-E-Mustafa (1997), Yugpurush (1998) and Khote Sikkey (1999). His last Hindi directorial was Pyar Mein Thoda Twist, which was released in 2022. He died of a heart attack on 09 June 2025.
