Sanjay Chauhan was a well-known TV and film screenwriter who primarily worked in Bollywood. Born in Bhopal in 1960, he started his career as a journalist in Delhi before moving to Mumbai in the 90s when he got offers to write crime-based TV series like Bhanwar for Sony TV. As a writer he got his first break in Dhoop (2003) for which he wrote the dialogues. His popular works as a screenwriter were I Am Kalam, Maine Gandhi Ko Nahin Mara, Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi, Paan Singh Tomar, and Saheb Biwi Gangster series.
