Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 is a horror comedy set in Bhawanigarh, Rajasthan where 18 years ago the spirit of Manjulika returns to harass one of the renowned families haveli. A tantric baba (Govind Namdeo) is called in who manages to trap Manjulika into a room of the haveli and seal it. In the present day, Reet (Kiara Advani), who belongs to the same family is on her way back to Bhawanigarh after completing her studies and is forcibly made to marry Sagar. While travelling to Bhawanigarh in a bus she bumps into Ruhaan (Kartik Aaryan) who take up a liking for each other as Reet seeks the formers help to escape the marriage. Will Ruhaan help Reet get out of this mess and how does he encounter Manjulika after taking refuge in the haveli is all what the remaining plot of the story is about.
