De De Pyaar De 2 is the sequel to De De Pyaar De (2019), which takes the story forward where Ashish Mehra (Ajay Devgn) starts a live-in with Ayesha Khanna (Rakul Preet Singh) in London. After a few months, Ayesha travels to her hometown, Chandigarh, to meet her parents, Rakesh (R. Madhavan) and mother, Anju (Gautami Kapoor), and celebrate the birth of her brother Rohan (Tarun Gahlot) and his wife Kittu's (Ishita Dutta) child. Ayesha believes that now would be a good moment to tell her parents that she is seeing a man who is 24 years old. Kittu tells Rakesh and Anju that Ayesha is dating too soon. Ayesha merely informs her parents that her lover is older than she is. They reassure Ayesha that it won't be an issue and ask to meet, assuming that Ashish may be older than a few years. They are shocked to learn that Ashish is much older than they anticipated. Ayesha and Rakesh become estranged as a result. Ayesha returns to London and considers marrying Ashish without her parents' approval because she is upset over her father's actions. The remainder of the movie revolves around what occurs subsequently.
