Dost is an action drama. The movie revolves around a forest officer Raja (Mithun Chakraborty), who replaces Anthony (Dalip Tahil) after he dies mysteriously. Raja befriends an elephant Ram, monkey Bansi and a parrot Mithu, whom he rescued. The father-son duo, Sher Singh (Amjad Khan) and Nagendra (Kiran Kumar) are involved in poaching, cutting trees and smuggling them. Despite Raja’s warnings the two continue doing that, which leads to the enmity between the two parties. Nagendra and Sher Shah are determined to kill Raja and destroy his family, the same way they killed the earlier forest officer. Will Raja be able to protect himself and his family?
