Dunki is a comedy-drama based on an illegal immigration technique named ‘Donkey Flight’. The story revolves around four friends namely - Hardayal Singh Dhillon aka Hardy (Shah Rukh Khan), a retired soldier, Manu (Taapsee Pannu), Sukhi (Vicky Kaushal), Buggu Lakhanpal (Vikram Kochhar) and Balli (Anil Grover) who share a common dream, which is to visit England. However, it is not possible for them to get a ticket and visa until they learn to speak in English. When all of them fail to learn English, Hardy promises them that he will take them to England the ‘Dunki’ way. Hence, starts a long and challenging journey with laughter and emotions as the group headed by Hardy set out to their mission through various terrains and seas. Do they succeed and what challenges the face enroute forms the remaining plot of the film.
