Himmatwala is an action-comedy drama and the remake of the 1983 hit film of the same title. The story is set in 1983 and it revolves around a strong man named Ravi (Ajay Devgn), who is commonly known as Himmatwala. Ravi learns that his father (Anil Dhawan), an honest priest of the temple, was falsely accused of stealing money by a rich zamindar Sher Singh (Mahesh Manjrekar) that forced him to commit suicide. Ravi vows to take revenge for his father’s death. Ravi marries Sher Singh’s daughter Rekha (Tamannaah), who helps Ravi to fulfil his goal.
