Hum To Chale Pardes is a family drama. A man named Kumar (Shashi Kapoor) is happily married to Suman, but the only problem in their life is that they are childless. After many years, Suman finally get pregnant and gives birth to a daughter, but due to some complications, she dies soon after giving birth to her baby. Kumar names his daughter Priya, and raises her as a single parent. When Priya (Mandakini) grows up, Kumar arranges her marriage to Ajay (Rajeev Kapoor), who is based in London. Kumar wants Ajay to relocate to India, to which he agrees. However, after marriage, due to circumstances, he is unable to move to India, which creates complications between the two families. Will Priya and Ajay be able to make things right for themselves and their families?
