Mandakini is an actress and playback singer in Bollywood who was launched by Raj Kapoor opposite his son Rajiv Kapoor in the super hit film 'Ram Teri Ganga Maili' in 1985. The success of the film helped her sign many top banner films like 'Mera Saathi', 'Jaal', 'Dance Dance', 'Jeete Hain Shaan Se', 'Pyaar Karke Dekho' and others. The early 90's witnessed her doing lesser films as she turned singer by cutting out her album 'Dancing City'.
