Singhasan is an action-adventure costume drama. The movie revolves around the rivaling kingdoms Avanti and Gandharva. The rivalry started when the princess of Avanti, Alaknanda’s (Jaya Prada) marriage was arranged with Prince of Gandharva, Aditya (Jeetendra), but Aditya rejected the proposal, as he is in love with a courtesan. Later, it is revealed that Alaknanda is in love with a warrior named Vikram Singh (Jeetendra). Aditya is abducted by bandits and is assumed to be dead, but shows at time to be crowned, and marries a girl named Chandana (Mandakini), who is beauty filled with venom. Alaknanda becomes a crowned queen. Hostilities between the two kingdoms escalate; it is to be found; how do the two kingdoms deal with the rivalry?
