Hawalaat is an action crime drama. The movie revolves around a journalist named Geeta (Padmini Kohlapure), who decides to expose the druglord Dharamdas (Amrish Puri), who is running a successful drug business and also has the support of police, who never bothers him. However, before she could do that, she is abducted by Dharamdas’ men and is repeatedly raped by Dharamdas, his associates and also some corrupt police officers. The question remains, who will come to her rescue?
