Jhutha Sach is a family drama. The movie follows the story of a young man named Vijay (Dharmendra), who has been very lonely after the death of his wife. On the insistence of his children, he decides to re-marry. He meets a stage singer named Alka (Rekha), and the two fall in love and get married to each other. However, things take a turn, when Alka and Vijay meet with an accident, and Vijay gets killed. Alka doesn’t have enough courage to tell the children about Vijay’s death, so she hires a Vijay's look-alike to pose as Vijay and make children hate him and leave on 30th day for a huge sum of money. Things go according to plan; however, on the 30th day, Alka learns that the children have been kidnapped, while the kidnapper demands a huge sum of money as ransom. Will Alka be able to arrange that kind of money to save the children?
