John Day is a thriller action drama. The movie follows the story of John Day (Naseeruddin Shah), a bank manager, and his wife Maria Day (Shernaz Patel). The couple lose their only daughter, Pearl, in a forest fire accident while she was on a trip. The incident greatly affects the two. Maria isolates herself after the incident and rarely talks to anyone. However, their lives change when Maria is kidnapped by the courier boy who severely injures Maria. It is followed by a series of unusual events revealing the truth behind everything.
