Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya? is a romantic comedy drama. The movie revolves around Samir (Salman Khan), a very successful and attractive orthopedic doctor. Most of his female patients fall for his charms, but whenever a girl tries to get close to him, he sends them off by telling them he’s already married. One day, Samir meets an attractive girl Sonia (Katrina Kaif), to whom he tells that he is in a failing marriage and the two start dating. When Samir proposes to Sonia for marriage, she requests him to let her meet his wife. Samir’s lie gets him in trouble as he was never married. He manages to convince a nurse in his hospital, Naina (Sushmita Sen) to pose as his wife in front of Sonia. Naina agrees to do the same. However, things go haywire when Samir’s mother suddenly appears and learns about his marriage to Naina. Things get chaotic and hilarity ensues. Will Samir ever be able to make things right with all this confusion?
