Mujhe Insaaf Chahiye is a romantic revenge drama. The movie follows the story of a young woman named Malati (Rati Agnihotri), who belongs to a middle-class family. She meets Suresh (Mithun Chakraborty), the son of a wealthy lawyer Dayashankar Ray (Danny Denzongpa). The two fall in love with each other and get into a relationship; soon after, Malati gets pregnant, but Suresh refuses to accept her child. It is then, she gets the support of a lawyer named Shakuntala (Rekha), who fights for women’s rights. Will Shakuntala be able to get Malati and her child justice?
