Nishaan is an romantic action drama. The movie follows the story of two young men named Ravi (Jeetendra) and Shankar (Rajesh Khanna), who meet and become best friends. However, criminals, Diwan and Bhagail continuously try to bring a rift between two friends. It is then the two realise that they are brothers, who were separated in the childhood post their father’s death, who was killed by the same men, who are now trying to create conflict between the two brothers. It is then the two decide to unite and avenge their father’s death. Will the brothers succeed in their mission?
