Amarnath Mukherjee was a well-known Bengali and Hindi film actor who was often seen in supporting roles. He started his acting career in 1970 with the Bengali movie Megh Kalo and thereafter featured in movies like Jyoti (1988), Asha-o-Bhalobasha (1988), Raj Nartaki (1991), 7 Days (1995), Amrita (1999), Saathi (2002) and Dristee (1995). He also appeared in popular Bollywood movies like Amanush, Dhan Daulat, Disco Dancer, Nishaan, Kissise Na Kehna, Dalaal and Andaz. He died on 25 May 2023.
