Ram Tere Kitne Naam is a social romantic drama. The movie follows the story of an obese man named Ram (Sanjeev Kumar), who falls in love with Radha (Rekha), and wishes to get married to her, only to be mocked by her brother, Tej Singh (Prem Chopra), who asks him to collect 10 lakh rupees to marry Radha. Ram moves to Mumbai with the aim to make it big and collect all the money; however, he only gets the work of a taxi driver. One day he is spotted by a film director, and offered the role of a lead in a movie, and the success of the movie makes him millionaire overnight. He returns to his hometown to finally be with Radha, but is devastated to learn that she is already married and bearing a child of another man. Will this be the end of Ram's love story? Will he find some other girl or move back to the career he never wanted?
