Born as Harihar Jethalal Jariwala, Sanjeev Kumar was an Indian actor, who was noted for acting in movies of different genres. He started his acting career as a stage artist and joined Indian National Theatre. He made his screen debut with a small role in the 1960 film Hum Hindustani. His first film as a lead actor was Nishan (1965), alongside Nazima.
