Trishul is yet another emotional revenge drama written by Salim-Javed which narrated the tale of R.K. Gupta (Sanjeev Kumar) who dumps his pregnant girlfriend Shanti (Waheeda Rehman) to marry a rich builders daughter. Shanti gives birth to a son, Vijay (Amitabh Bachchan) and dies amid poverty and grief. Vijay vows to take revenge and snatch away everything from R.K. Gupta who has become one of the biggest builders over the years in the business. Will Vijay avenge his mother's death and humiliation? All this builds up to an engrossing climax in this evergreen yesteryear classic.
