Pati Patni Aur Woh is a comedy-drama about Ranjeet (Sanjeev Kumar) who meets Sharda (Vidya Sinha) and falls in love and gets married to her. The couple has a 10-year-old son while Ranjeet becomes a successful Sales Manager in a big company. Despite being a happily married man Ranjeet has an affair with his office secretary Nirmala (Ranjeeta) while telling her that his wife is terminally ill and has a few days left. Things go out of hand when Sharda gets a smell of her husband's affair with Nirmala. What happens next, does Ranjeet apologize and go back to Sharda?
