Amar (Sanjeev Kumar) is a well off businessman and a widower who has a little daughter but fears getting married again for he doubts if his new wife will treat his daughter well or not. On his elder sister’s instance, he agrees to visit a family and choose one of their daughters for marriage but on a condition that he will go there as servant Dayal while his servant Dayal (Mehmood) will pose as Amar. Does Amar manage to hide his identity and find the right mother for his daughter forms the remaining part of this comedy family drama.
