Namkeen is a family comedy drama. The movie follows the story of an elderly woman named Jugni (Waheeda Rehman), who is a folk dancer and abandoned by her husband and lives with her three daughters in a remote village. The women have never been close to any men; however, their lives take a turn when a truck driver named Gerulal (Sanjeev Kumar) comes to live with them as a tenant. The girls get closer to him; however, none is aware of this mystery man’s real intentions. Is everything as simple as it seems?
