Sharmila Tagore, an Indian actress, is the recipient of several awards including the National Film Award and Filmfare Lifetime Achievement Award. In 2013, she was honoured with Padma Bhushan by the government of India for her contributions to Indian cinema. She started her acting career in Bollywood in the 1964 film Kashmir Ki Kali, directed by Shakti Samanta, alongside Shammi Kapoor. The movie was a huge success that helped her bag many more superhit films like Anupama (1966), An Evening in Paris (1967), Aradhana (1969), Safar (1970), Amar Prem (1972), Mausam (1975), Chupke Chupke (1975), Mann (1999), etc. In 1968, she married Indian cricketer Mansoor Ali Khan and the couple had a son, actor Saif Ali Khan and two daughters, Saba Ali Khan and actress Soha Ali Khan.
