Pathaan is an action thriller drama about an undercover RAW agent named Pathaan (Shah Rukh Khan) who is recalled to undertake yet another impossible mission for his country but the agency doesn’t know whether he is alive or not after his last assignment went wrong and was held captive where. The agency goes all out to track down Pathaan and find out his whereabouts and get him started on their new mission. His new mission is to crack down on another ex-RAW agent named Jim (John Abraham) who has gone rogue and currently heads the 'Outfit X' group. Jim this time has taken up a terror contract from Pakistan to infuse a virus in India in return for Kashmir after the abrogation of article 370. Pathaan goes berserk along with another ex-ISI agent named Rubia (Deepika Padukone) to destroy Jim and save the world from the dreaded virus which is code-named 'Rakhtabeej'.
