The official Hindi remake of the 2010 Telugu blockbuster film of the same title, Prasthanam tells the story of a ganglord cum politician Baldev Pratap Singh (Sanjay Dutt) who has two sons who handle his business but contrast in nature. The elder son Ayush Baldev Singh (Ali Fazal) obeys his father while the younger does things at will without thinking of the consequences. Baldev appoints Ayush as his heir, which does not go down well with the younger one as he gets to reveal that Ayush is Baldev’s stepson. All hell breaks loose within the family as the opposition take full advantage of it while creating problems for Baldev. What Baldev does, how does he justify his act, who will decide what is right or wrong?
