Raees is an action crime drama that revolves around the gangster-turned-MLA Raees Alam (Shah Rukh Khan), who lives in Fatehpur, Gujarat. Raees Alam gains immense popularity for his business of smuggling liquor. However, the threat looms large on him and his business when honest and powerful police, ACP Majumdar (Nawazuddin Siddiqui) is transferred to Fatehpur and decides to get the better of Raees Alam.
